A set of pins sold on the Sinn Fein website depicting the hunger strikers who died in HM Prison Maze in 1981. The hunger strike was part of a series of protests against the treatment of these prisoners by the guards, and the classification of IRA inmates as criminals rather than political prisoners. Of the hunger strikers, Bobby Sands is often venerated because he was the first to die on hunger strike. Other strikers pictured include Kevin Lynch, Mickey Devine, Patsy O’Hara, and Joe McDonnell.
