This shirt, sold from the Sinn Fein Bookstore, depicts the classic starry plough symbol while also advertising the Irish Citizen Army. The Irish Citizen Army was known for defying British administration and was composed of mainly Socialist volunteers (Footnote sinn fein bookstore). Additionally the shirt contains a quote by James Connolly, an ICA leader of rebellion, reading, “Only the Irish working class remains as the incorruptible inheritors of the fight for freedom in Ireland.”
