The Wolfe Tones are an explicitly Irish rebel folk group, formed in 1963 by the same members who comprise it to this day. Their songs are all explicitly tied to Ireland in some way, but contain a broad range of themes within that requirement, from life in the diaspora to working trades.
While live performances of the group are few and far between, the group has used videos in this similar format to convey their values as a group. Though not exclusively in the Irish language, the videos contain scenes of the band members surrounded by natural Irish settings, suggesting a connection with the land.
